Fred Kerley claimed the title of "Fastest Man on Earth" with a men's 100M overall victory at the 2022 World Athletics Championships.

After reaching the 100M semi-final last night, achieving the fastest heat time of all sprinters, Kerley continued that race with a semi-final victory 2 - finishing in 10.02 seconds and automatically win tickets to the final 100M. Kerley scored the fifth fastest time in three semi-finals.

Nearly two hours later, in her first 100M appearance at the World Athletics Championships, Kerley narrowly beat American teammates Marvin Bracy and Trayvon Bromell to win the men's 100M gold. Kerley reached the gold medal time of 9.86 seconds, followed by Marvin Bracy (9,874) and Trayvon Bromell (9,876) - an all-American tennis player.

For those who thought this turn of events would be a failure of Kerley's Team USA career, those critics have certainly been silent.
